Australian actor Chris Hemsworth is to make his CBeebies debut telling the story of a little bear who is frightened of the rain and thunder.

*

On Friday 8 July (6.50pm, CBeebies and BBC iPlayer), Chris reads Stormy Night by Salina Yoon.

*

Chris says: “I love nothing more than reading bedtime stories to my children and it was a joy to get to read Stormy Night, a story about a little bear who is scared of storms. Even though I know a thing or two about thunder and lightning, I always feel better when the storm passes.”

*

Chris’ appearance on the nightly slot was teased by @CBeebiesHQ on social media with a silhouetted figure and the caption “You asked. We delivered. Can you guess who?”

Recent CBeebies Bedtime Stories readers have included Her Royal Highness, The Duchess of Cambridge, Harry Styles, Arlo Parks, Tom Hiddleston, Ellie Goulding, Dave Grohl, Steve Carell and Rose Ayling-Ellis who signed her story in British Sign Language. CBeebies Bedtime Story is on daily at 6.50pm and on BBC iPlayer.
