Ep 154: 5D Pop Culture Podcast – Uranus

*

After a week’s absence there’s a fair bit to catch up on in the 5DNEWS this week. There’s some brief NASA chat, this time about some planned Venus trips by the end of the 2020’s – and yes, of course our professionalism remains at it’s traditional high standards as immature references to Uranus are a plenty. Sorry about that.
We also chat about subjects such as God of War 2 being delayed as well the release of a veritable plethora of trailers in advance of the reopening of cinema’s – apparently we’re all saved and the pandemic will soon be a thing of the past….hurrah! Or you could just read other news articles that suggest the new Delta variant means that soon we’re all doomed…..boo hiss!

If all that wasn’t enough there’s a little self-indulgent (not like us, right?!) chat in the news section about some exciting collaborations and interviews coming up soon on the website and podcast. Well, I’m excited at least because we have actor Yuri Lowenthal due to talk with us about his career as a much sought-after voice actor – and I mean, sought-after! Just check out his IMDB page for an idea of his track record in Spider-Man, The Prince of Persia to name but two out of hundreds!
We also have a special episode in June when we will be teaming up with the Sydney Science Fiction Film Festival for a special podcast in which
we’ll be looking at key moments in Australia’s science-fiction genre film and TV, works that have lasting pop culture relevance & what the future of Australian productions may be.

In the main review section this week we discuss the quite frankly bonkers brilliant Sweet Tooth fantasy pandemic animal-hybrid thing (yep, that’s correct).
