Some happy 5D subscribers – thanks to Bruce Campbell!

So after being in the fortunate position of being able to offer up a couple of Bruce Campbell related prizes it is time for us to unapologetically and unashamedly bask in the reflected glory of the competition winners. I know what you’re thinking, that it’s not like me to cash in on somebody else’s glory and achievements, right? I’ll just ignore the tone dripping in sarcasm as you said it……..

For those of you who have been lucky enough to avoid my recent collaborative involvements with companies across the pond, this year has witnessed two virtual Evil Dead watch party’s – and both have been a terrific from all accounts! For those of you who missed out (including me for the 2nd one as it wasn’t available outside of North America due to some annoying and bothersome copyright reason), both the Evil Dead January watch party & the recent April Evil Dead II event saw fans experience Bruce Campbell’s movie memories, behind the scenes stories, anecdotes from the film and hilarious stories. Viewers also had the unique opportunity to participate in a live chat with Bruce where they commented and asked questions. It was 5D’s genuine honour to be involved in helping publicise both events in our own inimitable way.

Alongside the promotion of the two events we were also provided the opportunity to offer a competition prize for each event. The most recent watch along witnessed passes being offered to see it, each worth the princely sum of $25, as part of a 5D Subscriber only competition offer. The winner, due to his ongoing participation in a U.S government witness protection plan after some nefarious dealings with an international garden gnome smuggling cartel, shall only be referred to as Mr.A. The winning gentleman was exceedingly happy after winning the passes and remarked after the event that;

The stream went excellent for me. …… I have no complaints. Bruce was very informative and quite the talker as I’m sure you know 🤣

The first event in January saw the offer to subscribers of a signed poster from Groovy Bruce himself. Once again the winner will not be fully disclosed, this time because they are currently undergoing conversion therapy for extreme addiction to lemon bon Bon’s after over a year in U.K lockdown – instead they will simply be known as Charmian and Liam.

The poster, signed by a certain Groovy Bruce Campbell

As it turns out I am only now able to divulge the winner of the aforementioned poster, primarily because Charmian had entered so that she could could surprise her Bruce Campbell Evil Dead loving partner with the gift (I haven’t asked her whether this was a ploy from her to help him rid him of his lemon Bon Bon enabling behaviour or not). However, I couldn’t say anything until he had been given the surprise gift. In any case, he seemed happy as;

My partner Liam was so made up with this poster, he was grinning from ear to ear!

So there you have it, two very happy 5D subscribers – and the only thing they had to do to win these marvellous prizes was to go to the home page on the website and subscribe for absolutely free. The only slightly negative aspect for them is then having to put up wiy]th my articles and newsletters telling them just how wonderful I am in my version of reality. I haven’t yet mentioned the litigation and the hunting them like dogs scenario if they ever decide to try and unsubscribe….. maybe another time.
If you wish to wish to subscribe, then do that voodoo at 5d-blog.com – And go-on, I’ll even waive the hunting you down thing if you ever leave…….maybe……..
